The Situation Talks "Jersey Shore" Exit

Now this could be a real situation for MTV.

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino reportedly plans to bail on the rest of his “Jersey Shore” crew and take his ab-based talents to Hollywood.

"Hopefully by the end of the year I'll be in a movie," Sorrentino told E! News. "There's only so long you can rule the reality world."

Sorrentino, who was estimated to have fist-pumped a $5 million fortune in 2010 through “Shore” commitments, product endorsements and paid appearances, told E! he planned to exit the show that has made him a household name in “maybe another year or so.”

"It's like Michael Jordan,” he said, referring to the iconic basketball star. “There's only so long you can keep winning them rings."

With the current season of “Jersey Shore” breaking records for MTV, the series plans to step up season four by ferrying its cast of young Italian-American partiers to their ancestral homeland.

After that it’s looking like Situation out, he said.

"You gotta move on and try something different," he told E! "I love to be in front of the camera; I love performing; I love entertaining so movies is definitely the next step."

Situation skeptics might be advised dude did rock that Funny or Die skit.

Jersey Shore's Mike "The Situation" will earn $5 Million by 2010, $10M by 2011

Mike Sorrentino should change his name to "The Corporation."

As the sophomore season of MTV's pop-culture phenomenon "Jersey Shore" continues to gobble up the biggest ratings the network has seen in seven years -- answering the prayers of the many of its executives who spoke of a gloomy prognosis before the "Shore" -- breakout star Sorrentino (aka the Situation) has jumped at the opportunity to capitalize on his fame. By year's end, the 29-year-old stands to earn more than $5 million, a source familiar with his finances told THR.

"We are really excited about all the opportunities coming Mike's way," said Sorrentino's manager, Mike Petolino of Gotham Entertainment. "He has been able to secure many endorsement deals, business opportunities and additional television offers based on the success of the show. Our goal has always been to try to build a brand if the situation presented itself."

Indeed, the Situation presented itself.

John Mayer may have put on a great performance as he hit the stage alongside Keith Urban during the 2010 CMT Awards in Nashville, TN on Wednesday night, but it was the show backstage that was all the talk.
Posing alongside reality TV star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, the two celebrity imbeciles enaged in a no-holds-barred ab-off.Needless to say, John could benefit from a trainer, an esthetician and a tanning bed if he’s ever going to make it on to the Jersey Shore.
