Now this could be a real situation for MTV.
Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino reportedly plans to bail on the rest of his “Jersey Shore” crew and take his ab-based talents to Hollywood.
"Hopefully by the end of the year I'll be in a movie," Sorrentino told E! News. "There's only so long you can rule the reality world."
Sorrentino, who was estimated to have fist-pumped a $5 million fortune in 2010 through “Shore” commitments, product endorsements and paid appearances, told E! he planned to exit the show that has made him a household name in “maybe another year or so.”
"It's like Michael Jordan,” he said, referring to the iconic basketball star. “There's only so long you can keep winning them rings."
With the current season of “Jersey Shore” breaking records for MTV, the series plans to step up season four by ferrying its cast of young Italian-American partiers to their ancestral homeland.
After that it’s looking like Situation out, he said.
"You gotta move on and try something different," he told E! "I love to be in front of the camera; I love performing; I love entertaining so movies is definitely the next step."
Situation skeptics might be advised dude did rock that Funny or Die skit.

Ellen: “You’re flirting with the guys. You’re single I assume.”
Deena: “Yeah, I’m very single.”
Ellen: “Yeah, because you don’t want to get into that show with a relationship going on. I don’t think anybody would want their girlfriend on that show.”
Deena: “Yeah, and plus I’m always single.”
Ellen: “You’re always single but do you have a crush on one of those guys?”
Deena: “At the time, whenever I was drunk for some reason I always thought Mike was good looking.”
Ellen: “When you’re not drunk, you don’t think he’s good looking?”
Deena: “No, when I’m not drunk, I’m like a normal person in front of him. When I’m drunk, I look embarrassing. I’m like, ‘Oh, hi Mike.’ I’m like, ‘Oh no. Here we go.’”
Ellen: “You can rectify that if you don’t drink. You wouldn’t be like that.”
Deena: “I know.”
Ellen: “But he’s got a situation going on there.”
Deena: “You know what it was. His personality was so easy to talk to when I first went in. Everybody else, maybe I was a little intimidated by but him I wasn’t. I don’t know why I wasn’t intimidated by Mike but I wasn’t so he was the easiest person that I could talk to. I don’t know. I always thought Pauly was good looking. Maybe I was a little more intimidated to talk to him first rather than [Mike].”
Ellen: “So it sounds like you’re interested in Pauly.”
Deena: “Yeah, well I always though Pauly was good looking.”
Ellen: “Well, it seems like. Pauly, she’s interested.”

'Jersey Shore' Cast Returning For Season Three
After a breakout debut season of "Jersey Shore," fans are eagerly anticipating the return of the gang's GTL action when season two premieres Thursday, July 29, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. But what comes next?
An MTV spokesperson confirmed Tuesday (July 20) in a statement that the "Jersey Shore" adventure is far from over: The cast will return for a third season.
"MTV is pleased that the Jersey Shore cast are returning to Seaside Heights to continue production on Season 3," the statement reads. "Not only have they become a part of the MTV family, but fans worldwide have fallen in love with them. Stay tuned for 'Jersey Shore' Season 2 on July 29th."
Viewers already got a glimpse of the coming insanity when the first 13 minutes of season two premiered during the MTV Movie Awards. The sneak peek took us along as the Jersey kids made a trip Down South to Miami.
The trailer that arrived last month gave us a better idea of what to expect, with the Situation and his boys fist-pumping in a strobe-light-filled club, Snooki and JWoww doing the robot in their private booth and Ronnie in a hot tub filled with scantily clad ladies. Punches were thrown, curses were unleashed — and what the heck was Snooki doing wearing a floppy sombrero on her head?
"Pretty much every night it's a party," Snickers declares in the trailer. "You better buckle yourself in!"
