Tia Mowry Covers Regard Magazine
Soon-to-be mommy Tia Mowry Hardrict is featured in a six-page spread of the latest issue of Regard Magazine. In the feature, she talks candidly about her upbringing and how she and her sister Tamera, were able to juggle college and fame.

“Much like James, I initially had a knee-jerk reaction, which was “no.” I just focused on all the ways it could go wrong. But Bruce (Cohen) was a bit craftier than I had realized because while I was hosting SNL (in November), while I was loving the idea of hosting something and doing the song-and-dance thing, Bruce came back and said, “We have James Franco.” He’s so brave and so willing to make unconventional choices.
"All the ways I was worried about it going wrong, it wouldn’t go wrong in any of those ways. It could go wrong in entirely new ways. (Laughs.)”

Mila Kunis, the Ukrainian-born star of “Black Swan,” talks about coming to America—and why she’ll never dance again.

Lynn Hirschberg: In Black Swan, you play the wild-child devil girl. You’re both seductive and scary. Had you danced before you took the part?
Mila Kunis: I had never danced in my life. I trained for four months, seven days a week, five hours a day. I had one day off on my birthday. I lost 20 pounds. I tore a ligament. I dislocated my shoulder. I have two scars on my back. And it was worth every minute.
But I will never dance again. I’m a strong believer in mind over matter, but I didn’t fully understand what that meant until this production. I was like, Well—I wear heels; I can do this. I was wrong: Christian Louboutins are uncomfortable, but I screamed the first time I put on a pointe shoe.
You have previously been known for comedy. Do you think it’s difficult for women to be considered both beautiful and funny in Hollywood?
I was never raised to think that I was pretty. It’s not that I was raised to think I was unattractive, but it was just never something that was pointed out to me by my family. They would point out personality traits—“Our daughter is really quirky”—versus what I look like, because inevitably, looks go, so it makes no difference.Your family is Ukrainian. How old were you when you moved to America?
I was seven and a half when we moved to the States. We came straight to Los Angeles.
What was the first thing you remember seeing of America?
A black man. It was at the American embassy [in Moscow], and all I had known were Caucasian people with blond hair, brunette hair, and sometimes red hair. You’re never really taught about anything else. I think I was frightened. And the beautiful thing was, the man spoke Russian. He explained to me that there are people in this world who are of different color. Being seven and a half, I asked him, “Does that mean there are purple people in this world?”
Shortly after arriving in L.A., you began acting. Did you always long to be an actress?
No. I started acting when I was nine as a hobby because it was fun, and it allowed me to get out of school. The first thing I did was a Barbie commercial, and I got to keep the Barbie. That’s all a kid wants.
From nine to 14, I did close to 15 commercials, and I guest starred on just about every television show. I was on Baywatch twice. The second time, I played a blind girl who’s lost in the forest next to the beach and needs to be saved. It was absurd: There’s a fire, I get saved, and then I go boogie-boarding. I remember thinking, Well, if I’m blind, how am I boogie-boarding? No one ever gave me an answer.
Was there a moment when you decided to be more discerning and selective in your roles?

Mila Kunis *Beautiful* : Covers LA Times Magazine - February 2011
Clad in a fancy frock by Georges Hobeika, the "Black Swan" beauty posed for photographer Ruven Afanador for the front page photo along with an accompanying spread.
As for the mag's interview, highlights from Miss Kunis' conversation are as follows:
On working in comedy: “I love doing comedies. They’re just as hard, if not harder, to make work, compared with a drama. You work 17 hours a day, and you have to try to make things different and funny and relatable onscreen all at the same time.”
Friends with Benefits director Will Gluck on Mila: “She’s very smart about her movies. Her notes were very un-actorlike: Will this emotion work here; will this reaction work there—not typical minuscule notes about a line or something.”
On not having any projects lined up right now: “I know people say this all the time, but it’s true: I don’t ever want to work for the sake of working. I was very lucky to have a show for eight years. Now I can sit back and think about what I want.”

For the special issue, the magazine “went back to the basics - no teenagers, no penguins, no (full-on) nudity, just the most exciting actors and actresses of the moment.”
The three-panel foldout, which was shot in L.A. and NYC, also features Jennifer Lawrence, Anthony Mackie, Olivia Wilde, Jesse Eisenberg Mila Kunis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Andrew Garfield, Rashida Jones, Garrett Hedlund, Noomi Rapace, and Robert Duvall.
“We wanted to evoke the glamour of 1930s Shanghai, an era of smoky, alluring elegance,” said VF fashion and style director Jessica Diehl. “We had the gentlemen looking dashing in black tie, whilst the ladies were radiant in spring’s gowns - from Gucci to Yves Saint Laurent - and glittering with diamonds from Chanel and other arbiters of glamour.”

Khloe Kardashian's Bondage-Inspired Photo Shoot
She’s known for her outlandish ways, but recently released photos of Khloe Kardashian are a bit disturbing - even for her!
In the daring photoshoot for YRB Magazine, the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” gal is shown wearing a studded S&M mask for the cover shot.
Of the pics, Khloe wrote on her blog, "Isn’t it fab. It’s so different from anything I’ve ever done, which was what made the shoot so fun for me!”
She continued, "YRB is known for being very wild and crazy with the content they publish, so I jumped at the chance to work with them I love experimenting with different looks and this was the perfect opportunity for me to do that."
