Yes, Jodie Sweetin knows her new sapphire-and-diamond engagement ring bears a resemblance to the one that’s graced the hands of Princess Diana and princess-to-be Kate Middleton. But no, that’s not why her fiancé, Morty Coyle, chose it. “He actually had the ring picked out a few months ago, before the prince’s engagement,” says Sweetin, 29. “But I’ll take comparison to royalty, that’s not too bad!” Coyle — who proposed to Sweetin at her L.A. birthday party Jan. 18 — had his own romantic reasons for selecting this particular sparkler. “Morty said it reminded him of my eyes,” says the actress. “He wanted something unique and something that looked like me. Not too traditional.” The ring, an original from Erwin Hesz jewelry, is made up of a 2.5-carat oval-cut sapphire surrounded by 18 diamonds in a snowflake pattern for a total weight of around 3.75 carats. And though the couple isn’t in a hurry to rush down the aisle, Coyle says that doesn’t mean his beloved shouldn’t have a beautiful token of his affection. “Just because we weren’t married,” he told PEOPLE, “doesn’t mean she doesn’t deserve a ring.”

Halle Berry's ex is heading down the aisle a second time!

Musician Eric Benet, whose three-year marriage to the Oscar winner, 44, ended in 2003 after he cheated, proposed to girlfriend of three years Manuela Testolini in November.

"They are engaged and very happy," a rep for the "Never Want To Live Without You" singer -- who has an 18-year-old daughter India, from a previous relationship -- tells Usmagazine.com.

Testolini, who was wed to Prince from 2001 to 2006, flashed some sparkly bling on her wedding finger at an event in November (see left).

Good news seems to come in twos in the Mowry family.

Sister, Sister star Tamera Mowry has announced her engagement to Fox News Channel correspondent Adam Housley – just days after her twin, Tia, revealed she is pregnant with her first child.

Housley popped the question in Venice, Italy, presenting his bride-to-be with a limited vintage design engagement ring by Viraggio.

"I'm beyond thrilled and feel so blessed to have him in my life," Tamera, 32, who starred with Tia in the popular 1990s sitcom Sister, Sister, tells PEOPLE. "Not only is he my love, but also my best friend."

The two plan to wed later this year.

While on vacation in Italy the True Blood heartthrob, 33, popped the question to his girlfriend, actress/model Audra Marie, his rep tells PEOPLE.

Manganiello, who plays werewolf Alcide Herveaux on the HBO drama, and Marie met at a 2009 Super Bowl party, but it was anything but love at first sight. "She wouldn't go out with me for six months," Manganiello told PEOPLE in September. "We started dating a few months before I got cast [on True Blood]."

Manganiello says Marie is "a great dresser. She's gorgeous, and she's tall. And she's sweet ... nice. And she makes crazy English breakfasts." Marie, meanwhile, says her man’s most appealing qualities are his "sense of humor, his work ethic and how humble he is with everything that has gone on." The pair have not yet set a wedding date.

Comedienne Niecy Nash is preparing to get hitched!


The Emmy-winning host of Style Network's 'Clean House' officially got engaged to her boyfriend of a year Jay Tucker at a private party at her home this weekend.The 40-year-old talent, who also works as a correspondent for the news magazine series 'The Insider,' tweeted photos of the proposal via her twitter page @NiecyNash.

"I was asked a VERY important question," Nash detailed on her page. "I couldn't contain how happy I was! I said 'Yes!' So amazing. I thank God for Jay Tucker! He is so much fun! We are so in love!"

Nash's 'Dancing with the Stars' partner Louis Van Amstel was among the onlookers there for the soiree.The couple plans to wed in May 2011.

"Falling in love was the easy part, planning a wedding - yikes," Nash posted.

The former star of 'Reno 911' is a mother of three. Nash was previously married for 13 years to a California preacher, Pastor Don Nash. The actress served as first lady of his church, New Life Bible Church in Culver City, Calif. while they were married.
