Willow Smith Signs Deal with Jay-Z's Roc Nation

Busting out into the music world at the young age of nine, Willow Smith has declared Roc Nation as her official musical home.


Earlier this morning ,the daughter of actor Will Smith and actress Jada Pinkett-Smith confirmed to Ryan Seacrest that she will now be working with the record label owned by Jay-Z.

The “Run This Town” rapper told press, "We at Roc Nation are excited to work with Willow. She has an energy and enthusiasm about her music that is truly infectious. It's rare to find an artist with such innate talent and creativity at such a young age. Willow is about to embark on an incredible journey and we look forward to joining her as she grows in all aspects of her career."

Willow’s first single (and quite catchy) “Whip My Hair” will be shot as a video in Los Angeles later this month.

JAY-Z AND EMINEM JOIN FORCES ON STAGE IN DETROIT

Hip-hop history was in Detroit on Thursday as Jay-Z and Eminem co-headlined the Motor City’s Comerica Park (home of the D-Town Tigers for the past decade), the first of two shows on consecutive nights.


Not only did Em treat his hometown with an endless string of hits, he pulled off some major surprises. After D12, 50 Cent and the G-Unit — acts that fans likely expected — came out for a performance, Slim Shady pulled off a shocker. Dr. Dre came out, first stunning the people then delighting them with smashes.

“Got dammit, Detroit. Do I love you or what?” Eminem asked his fans. “Look what I brought out for you.”

Jay added: “I know y’all going through a lot, but Detroit has heart and Detroit will be back!”

The ‘Home and Home Tour’ continues Friday night at Comerica Park and head to the Bronx, New York, on September 13 and 14 at Yankee Stadium.

The Carters rolled into Cannes, France today as they continued on their Euro yachting vacay along the coast of Italy and France. Beyonce, Jay-Z, cousin Angie, Jay's BFF Ty Ty and his kids, and a few other family friends were all spotted relaxing aboard the yacht in Monaco yesterday, and docking in Cannes today.Beyonce, looking fab in her green romper and gold sandals, and her hubby jay were spotted getting on and off their dingy as they pulled up in Cannes today. They had just gotten off their $377,000/week yacht. Yes...$377,000 a week. And since they'll likely be vacaying for about 2 weeks, their bill can rack up to over $700,000! Now THAT'S a vacay. Not a dent in their pockets at all...and we can't even be mad at that.Their yacht Altitude comes laced with a gym, jacuzzi, every watersport, jet ski, snorkel gear you can think of, plus sleeping space for 12 people, and a crew of 14 to wait on you hand and foot. Damn.
