'Dreamgirls' and 'Tyler Perry' Movie Star Sharon Leal Returns to TV in 'Hellcats'

After appearing in the box office hits 'Dreamgirls,' 'Why Did I Get Married?,' 'This Christmas,' 'Soul Men' and 'Why Did I Get Married Too?' Sharon Leal returns to television as a cast member on the new CW series 'Hellcats,' premiering Sept. 8 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

The Arizona native was a series regular for four seasons on David E. Kelley's popular FOX series 'Boston Public.'

Leal portrays Vanessa Lodge, head coach of the Hellcats, who must take the college cheerleading team to the championships to keep her job, all while balancing a love-hate relationship with the school's football coach.~Wilson Morales
